After application installation the end user reports that all streaming services are now running slower/lagging.

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Confirm whether the issue occurs on Wi-Fi

    • Ask the user to connect their device to a trusted Wi-Fi network.

    • Have them test the same streaming service(s) again.

    • If the issue persists on Wi-Fi, the problem is likely unrelated to the mobile network and may indicate an installation issue.

  2. Restart the device - A simple restart ensures that the VPN service and background components are fully initialized.

  3. Reinstall the CORA AI application

    • Uninstall the CORA AI app completely.

    • Restart the device.

    • Reinstall the application and allow all required permissions (including VPN permissions) during setup.

    • This resolves most cases where the VPN service did not initialize correctly during first install.

  4. Re-test on mobile data

    • Disable Wi-Fi and confirm performance on the mobile network.

    • If streaming performance returns to normal, no further action is required.

Why this works
CORA AI relies on a local VPN service to manage video traffic efficiently. In rare cases, an incomplete or interrupted installation can prevent the VPN from initializing correctly, which may temporarily affect perceived performance. Reinstalling the app resets the VPN configuration and restores normal operation.

When to escalate - If the issue persists after reinstalling and occurs on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, escalate to Level-2 support with:

    • Device model

    • OS version

    • CORA AI app version

    • Affected streaming services
